Benchmark began as a division of a medical device components provider. We grew with the industry by honing our expertise, refining our best-in-class processes, and investing in critical technology building blocks to solve the most advanced challenges of the medical technology industry.
Local Presence with a Global Reach
Several Benchmark's engineering and manufacturing sites support medical devices. The North American facilities that support the medical sector are located in Rochester and Winona, Minnesota; Nashua, New Hampshire; and a nearshoring location in Guadalajara, Mexico. Our global network extends to cover Europe with facilities in Almelo, the Netherlands, Brasov, Romania, as well as Asia with sites in Suzhou, China, and Ayutthaya and Korat, Thailand.
These facilities allow us to refine our three-continent strategy, through which we can localize production based on our customer's regional and manufacturing cost-based needs. Customers choose to partner with Benchmark because of our proven ability to address complex challenges and support the development of critical devices and because we can help them scale to high-volume manufacturing by producing their medical devices in the most cost-effective locations.

Benchmark is a leader in quality and compliance, with several FDA/QSR compliant and ISO 13485 certified facilities worldwide, and we continue to pass FDA-related inspections.

Across the medical technology sector, Benchmark serves a variety of customers and develops an extensive range of solutions. We've identified rapid growth platforms in which we've invested heavily in talent and technology building blocks. These platforms include connected medical, fluid management, radiological imaging, optical imaging, handheld devices, energy delivery devices, and medical robotics. Benchmark supports the design, development, test, and manufacturing of full-system medical devices within these platforms.
As the medical device industry evolves, so does Benchmark. One specific trend we're supporting is the shift from designing larger devices used in a clinical setting to designing devices with more mobility and usability. This trend is driven by society's desire for medical care to move out of the hospital or doctor's office and into the home, local pharmacy, and even the grocery store, triggering demand for point-of-care, connected devices.
