SETTING THE BENCHMARK

Welcome to WIN—The Women Inclusion Network

by Tina Doney / May 12, 2023

As the Chair of Benchmark's Women Inclusion Network (WIN), I am proud to lead an exceptional group dedicated to empowering women throughout our organization. At Benchmark, we recognize that gender equality and equity are not just social issues but business imperatives. We understand that diversity and inclusion are also essential for innovation, creativity, and problem solving. Therefore, we strive to create an environment where every employee feels valued, respected, and supported.

Welcome to WIN—The Women Inclusion Network

The Women Inclusion Network (WIN) is an employee resource group that provides a platform for women to connect, network, and share experiences. We believe that by bringing together women from different departments and levels of the organization, we can foster a sense of community and build a support system that helps women thrive both personally and professionally.

One of the key ways that WIN empowers women in the organization is by providing opportunities for professional development. We organize workshops, training sessions, and mentorship programs that help women build their skills, expand their knowledge, and advance their careers. We believe that when women succeed, the entire organization benefits. To that end, we are committed to providing the resources and support needed to help our female colleagues achieve their full potential.

Supporting Gender Equality and Equity

WIN further empowers women by advocating for policies and practices that support gender equality and equity. We work closely with our Human Resources department to ensure that our policies and practices are inclusive and equitable, and we provide feedback on issues that affect women in the workplace. As an example, we have recently advocated for flexible working arrangements that allow women to balance their work and personal responsibilities. We believe that by creating a more supportive and inclusive work environment, we can help women overcome the barriers that prevent them from achieving their goals.

Finally, WIN is a place where women can find inspiration and support from their peers. We organize networking events, social gatherings, and community outreach programs that help women build relationships, share ideas, and support each other. By building a strong community of women within the organization, we can create a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and empowerment.

WIN—An Essential Part of Benchmark’s Commitment to DEI

WIN is an essential part of Benchmark's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). We believe that by empowering women, we can create a more innovative, productive, and successful organization. If you are a woman working at Benchmark, I encourage you to get involved with WIN and take advantage of the opportunities we offer. If you do not work for Benchmark but want to learn more about Benchmark opportunities and the Women Inclusion Network, reach out. We’d love to hear from you! Together, we can build a better workplace for women, and a better organization for all.

A Special Mother’s Day Note:

For many, going the extra mile is a matter of choice. For others, it’s a way of life and a sense of responsibility. On this Mother’s Day, we thank all the mothers in our WIN family, throughout Benchmark, and the greater community, for the relentless efforts, unwavering support, and countless sacrifices you make on behalf of others.

On behalf of Benchmark and WIN, Happy Mother’s Day!
