Benchmark Completes Key Role in U.S. Manufacturing and Testing for Intel’s Aurora Exascale Supercomputer

Benchmark has announced the successful completion of its role in manufacturing and testing the Aurora exascale supercomputer, developed in partnership with Intel for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory. As the first exascale system at Argonne, Aurora will serve the scientific community nationwide, enabling researchers to harness AI, simulation, and data at unprecedented scale. Benchmark was chosen for its unique expertise in high-performance, liquid-cooled computing subsystems and test development, with all work performed in the U.S.

Intel and Argonne praised Benchmark’s technical capabilities and collaboration in bringing the powerful system online. With the ability to perform one quintillion calculations per second, Aurora is poised to drive major advancements in science and engineering, from fusion energy to materials discovery. Benchmark’s contributions underscore its leadership in engineering, manufacturing, and test development for advanced computing.
