Not too long ago, an employee at Benchmark Electronics was with his mother at Winona Health. The nurse was having difficulty finding a vein to insert an IV.
“Where’s your vein finder?” he asked. “We make a vein finder, right here in Winona. You have to use this; it’s the coolest thing ever.”
When told the clinic did have a vein finder, but it didn’t work very well, the employee went back to his co-workers at Benchmark and put the wheels in motion for a donation that was made official on Friday afternoon in the Boyer Lounge.
