Benchmark is committed to furthering our sustainability efforts throughout our business. We believe that our stakeholders must be considered in our everyday actions. While our core competencies are innovative product design, engineering services, technology solutions, and advanced manufacturing services, our business is about people – our customers, our employees, our investors, and our communities.
We are committed to responsible environmental practices that include conservation of natural resources, pollution prevention and reduction of waste. We also strive to continually improve our operations and promote the health and safety of our workforce in compliance with all company, local, and federal standards.
We believe in upholding the principle of human rights, worker safety and observing fair labor practices within our organization and within our supply chain. We are committed to ensuring ethical organizational governance, promoting business ethics and integrity, and embracing diversity and inclusion in the board room and throughout the organization.
We endorse the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) which provides guidance in five critical areas of corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance, including labor, health and safety, environment, management systems, and ethics and seeks the same endorsement from our supplier business partners. We also endorse EcoVadis, a provider of sustainability ratings, which evaluates criteria across four themes: environment, fair labor practices, ethics/fair business.
We are committed to excellence in corporate governance practices and works closely with the Board of Directors and its Committees to continually review and improve our policies. Our emphasis on a culture of accountability is foundational and our team ethically manages our operations for the long-term benefit of our stakeholders.
Our Senior Leadership Team created a COVID-19 Task Force comprised of a cross-functional advisory team of Company leaders committed to promoting the health and safety of our employees in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and ensuring that our employees’ safety remains a constant focal point.
We have further enhanced the quality of our sustainability disclosures. Benchmark is committed to communicating our progress and has mapped its report to several prominent ESG reporting frameworks, including:

Benchmark supports Rule 13p-1 under the Exchange Act (Conflict Minerals Law) and actively works to avoid sourcing conflict minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and in adjoining countries. Benchmark’s Conflict Mineral Policy provides all necessary conflict minerals content declarations.
At Benchmark, social and environmental responsibility expectations are communicated and agreed to by all new suppliers through a signed Declaration on Business Ethics and Compliance Letter. All suppliers must comply with these expectations. To learn more about our expectations of our suppliers and commitment to responsible supply chain management please review our Supplier Code of Conduct.
Benchmark’s Employee Code of Conduct reflects our core values and underlying commitment to ensuring we are fostering the best possible work environment for everyone. Oversight starts at the top by an Audit Committee that receives regular reports from Benchmark’s Chief Compliance Officer. We also encourage every team member to “Speak Up” to promote a positive and ethical organizational culture.
Through our EthicsPoint web portal and Helpline, Benchmark provides a mechanism to report concerns and safely ask questions about actual or potential ethical issues while maintaining anonymity and confidentiality.
