Daniel leads growth initiatives for Benchmark’s Lark RF Technology business by expanding the RF component offering and developing an integrated RF and High Speed Design Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Primary markets include A&D and Telecommunications.
Daniel previously served as Vice President & General Manager for Ducommun, Inc., a multi-site electronics manufacturing business, and was responsible for the post acquisition integration of Labarge Technologies. Daniel was also responsible for establishing a low cost region capability in Guaymas, Mexico to drive rapid expansion in commercial aerospace. Prior to Ducommun, Daniel served as the Senior Operating Officer of Veridiam, Inc. where he completed a change of control and post-acquisition restructuring. Before joining Veridiam, he held various roles at Cobham San Diego progressing from a Program Manager to Director of Manufacturing Operations.
Daniel is a decorated veteran of the US Navy where he served honorably as an Electronics Technician undertaking multiple assignments and deployments to the Middle East.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a focus in electronics technology from University of Phoenix that he earned while serving on active duty and a master’s in Management from the University of Redlands.
Alfonso Martinez has worked in the Manufacturing industry for over 25 years in various capacities of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, program management, quality assurance and operations management. Alfonso has been with Lark RF Technology for over 22 years. In his current position, Alfonso is in responsible for the operations that are carried out at the Lark Engineering Manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico. He assures that the company’s business and strategic objectives are implemented and the organization continues moving to a higher quality electronics manufacturing operation. Alfonso operates out of Lark’s San Diego and Mexico facilities.
Alfonso previously served as the Vice President of Quality Assurance for Lark RF. Before holding this position, Alfonso was the Quality Assurance Manager of Hughes Network Systems in Tijuana, Mexico.
Alfonso earned his technical wings at Hughes Network Systems, Loral Electro Optical Systems and Hitachi Consumer Products.
Mark is the Director of Engineering and the Project Lead at Lark RF Technology and Benchmark’s RF and High Speed Design Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He provides technical leadership and guidance for all design initiatives, as well as cross-functional engineering mentoring and leadership development. Mark also develops and presents Lark’s technical capabilities and product offerings to existing and new customers.
Mark previously served as a RF Hardware Engineer for Google, and was responsible for designing and developing ATPC radio algorithms for link-level functionality. While serving in this position, Mark also led efforts to design platform-related control loops and calibration routines. Prior to Google, Mark served as a staff engineer at Qualcomm, a multinational company that designs and markets wireless telecommunications products and services. While with Qualcomm, Mark was responsible for RFIC architecture design and modeling. Before Qualcomm, Mark held the position of Senior Staff Engineer at Broadcom.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego. Mark also earned two master’s degrees, one in Electrical Engineering and the other in Wireless Embedded Systems, both from the University of California, San Diego.
As Director of Operations for Lark RF Technology and Benchmark’s RF and High Speed Design Center, Ronald’s responsibilities include implementation, management and evaluation of operational processes and procedures, as well as ensuring that operations meet established budgets and timelines for business. Ronald is also involved in the development of operational strategy and the implementation of improvement plans to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the facility.
Ronald previously served as the Business Manager at Kimball Electronics, an electronics and contract manufacturing company, where he was responsible for developing and maintaining critical business relationships with industrial, medical and public safety customers. He was also responsible for establishing organizational and functional alignment between international and domestic factories in six countries. Prior to this position, Ronald was the Director of Modules Business Management at Amkor Technology, where he managed a team of finance, engineering and program managers in the ground-up implementation of engineering and operations systems.
Ronald has been serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 - 1990 and retired in 2008, most recently serving as Commanding Officer of 6th Engineer Support Battalion. Ronald served on active duty in Quantico/Camp Lejeune/Camp Pendleton from 1981-1985, then again in Afghanistan in 2010, and finally in Stuttgart in 2016-17.
Ronald hold a bachelor’s of Animal Science from Michigan State University, with a focus in Pre-Veterinary studies. He also earned an MBA in Operations and Finance from Oakland University, where he was also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an academic honor society that boasts 540 collegiate chapters.
Carey leads the Lark Program Manager team at Lark RF Technology. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Green Belt with more than sixteen years’ experience in systems engineering and project management for major government contracts and over twenty-five years in the aerospace and defense industry.
Prior to joining Lark, Carey worked at The Boeing Company, serving in several roles including Enterprise Tooling Category Leader and 737 Systems Integration Project Engineer. She held high-level responsibility for leading cross-functional teams to develop and execute category strategies focused on value creation. Prior to Boeing, Carey worked as the Chief Software Systems Engineer at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), leading the Ground Sensor Integrator Software team successfully on large military contracts. Leading up to this role, Carey was an Engineering Manager at General Dynamics Information Technology/ANTEON for several key Department of Defense projects. Carey also worked as a Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman, where she first earned her Six Sigma Green Belt, and Jeppeson Sanderson (A Boeing Company) where she started her civilian career in maintenance information services.
Carey is a veteran of the the United States Air Force, where she served as an Aircraft Avionics, Electronics and Electrical Systems Technician. She earned her Master of Science in Systems Engineering – Systems Management at George Mason University, her Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from Southern Illinois University, and her Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
As Director of Manufacturing at Lark RF Technology, George’s responsibilities span both PCB fab and electronics assembly. George guides his team to identify the process tools, define and qualify processes for prototyping and production of customer PCBs and mixed micro-electronic/SMT assemblies, up to the point of production. George also holds an Executive MBA from the University of California, Irvine, as well as a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Kevin is Lark RF Technology’s RF & High Speed Circuits Product Line Director. He is responsible for developing and executing strategic business plans to grow our RF & High Speed Circuits business, working closely with our customers, sales, marketing, program management and engineering teams.
Kevin has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and over 30 years of diverse interconnect industry experience. He introduced LCP substrate materials to our industry while in a leadership role at Rogers, and developed LCP based circuit applications as General Manager of Micro Systems Technologies. Kevin has a broad background in high performance, high reliability interconnects. His experience ranges from thin film microwave circuit fabrication and high speed/microwave circuit materials, to commercial microwave circuit fabrication and assembly, implantable medical devices and military microwave interconnect products.
Terry leads growth initiatives for the RF Components & Assemblies product line for Benchmark’s Lark RF Technology.
Terry is an accomplished leader with 30 years of progressive, proven experience in commercial and defense/government markets. Terry started his career as an Electronics Technician in the U.S. Navy working on carrier air traffic control systems. Terry’s first ship was the USS Midway, which his son lovingly teases him is now a museum. Terry is a decorated veteran, having served on multiple assignments and deployments to the Middle East onboard several carriers.
After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Terry has held progressive product and program management and leadership functions that supported commercial and defense markets for Thermo, L-3 Communications, SAIC and Cobham. Terry holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Masters in Business Administration in Technology Management, and a Project Management Institute certification.
