The Brazil facility is located in Campinas (South East Region) and is one of the most technologically advanced Brazilian cities. The region is also known as the Brazilian “Silicon Valley”.

Campinas is located only 80 miles from Sao Paulo City, the largest city of Brazil and counts with an excellent transportation infrastructure. The largest Brazilian cargo airport (Viracopos) is located only 20 miles from Benchmark plant and the largest South American commercial port (Santos) is only 130 miles away.

Benchmark Brazil plant officially started operations in August of 1998, with just one SMT line and quickly grew in manufacturing capabilities, offering today a wide variety of manufacturing services with flexibility, quality and competitive cost.

Quality is one of the biggest Benchmark differentiators. As a matter of fact, Benchmark is the only ECM in South America to be ISO 9001:2000 and TL 9000 (R: 3.0) registered by UL (Underwriter's Laboratories).

Featured with Fuji equipments, in-circuit testers (HP/Genrad), screen printers (MPM/DEK), Soft Beam soldering capability (Panassonic), Nitrogen convection ovens (BTU/), X-Ray (Nicolet), conventional components placers (Universal), Benchmark plant in Brazil is well equipped to meet market most adopted PCBA technologies such as surface mount, pin in hole, ball grid array and fine pitch. Benchmark in Brazil also offers services of box build and system integration.

Logistics is another service provided by Benchmark to our partners in Brazil, meaning competitiveness and full customer support. In order to meet this target, Benchmark maintains a warehouse in Huntsville, Alabama, which gives Brazil the flexibility to pull components as necessary at a reel level. Components are bought from Asia, US, Brazil and Scotland facilities depending on sourcing location, giving Benchmark customers the procurement services necessary to guarantee a competitive cost.

The "Aeroporto Internacional de Guarulhos" is the main International airport and it is located in São Paulo, about 100 miles away from Campinas, two hours driving.

If the visitor is not familiar with the area, we recommend taking a taxicab or shuttle to Campinas.

There is a shuttle service available from the international airport straight to Campinas down town. The shuttle company is called "Caprioli Turismo" and it is located at Wing D, Terminal 2 in the airport and on Av. Francisco Glicério, 431 - in front of "Largo do Pará".
The cost of the shuttle ticket is R$ 18,00 (*) (**)

Once the visitor reaches Campinas downtown, a cab will be necessary to go to Benchmark facility.

The second possibility is to take a cab from "Aeroporto Internacional de Guarulhos" straight to Campinas facility.
The cost is around R$150,00.(*) (**)
