Shock Machine Test Systems Overview

Shock Machine Animation

Shock Machine Test Systems are used in design and destructive testing of components, hybrids, circuits, and complete assemblies.  Benchmark designs and builds three models of Shock Machine Test Systems:

Though Benchmark is new to the field, Avex, (Avco) are not. Avex (Avco) are the developers of the pneumatic shock test machines. Actually Avco began in the 1950’s building the free fall style of shock test machine. These machines were effective, but capabilities were limited by the size of the testing room. To provide a better solution, Avco developed and perfected the pneumatic shock test machine. The pneumatic machines had improved testing capabilities and did not require specially designed rooms for their use.

Though design improvement has continued with different models over the years, the basic concept has remained the same. Avco remained the leader in pneumatic shock testing until they changed the name in 1985 to Avex, continuing the tradition of high quality equipment. Avex made several modifications and improvements. Our machines now are used all over the world, for both the commercial field as well as military applications, testing a variety of products, from disk drives to wristwatches, spark plugs, to automotive sensors.
